Grants and Discounts
Caring can bring extra costs. If you are an unpaid carer, or the person you care for needs additional financial support, there are grants, charitable funds, benefits and discount schemes that may be available to help.
Grants and financial help
You may be able to access grants to help with essential household items, equipment, respite breaks, wellbeing activities, training or other costs related to your caring role. Local carers organisations may also be able to help you identify and apply for funding.
Useful resources include:
- The Camden Advice Network is a group of 12 organisations that provide free and independent advice to Camden residents. You can contact all of them about our Cost Of Living Crisis Fund if you are experiencing severe financial hardship.
- Turn2us is a free service that helps people in financial need to access welfare benefits, community grants, charitable grants and other financial help – online, by phone and face to face. The website has a free and easy to use grants search and benefits calculator.
- Disability Grants has details of charities and trusts which give out grants to disabled people and their families and carers.
- The Carers Trust website has more information on grants and charitable support.
