Brexit and EU Settlement Scheme advice
Free EU Settlement Scheme Brexit Advice Drop-in Sessions
In Camden we value our EU citizens and we want them to stay. To help with this process, we are offering them support and advice with applying to the Government’s EU Settlement Scheme.
In partnership with Citizens Advice Camden and Camden Community Law Centre, we will be providing two FREE drop-in advice sessions for EU citizens applying for the EU Settlement Scheme: The first session will be on Monday 14th October from 5pm to 8pm at Swiss Cottage Library, 88 Avenue Road, NW3 3HA. The second event will be on Wednesday 23rd October from 5pm to 8pm at Holborn library, 32-38 Theobalds Road, WC1X 8PA.
The sessions will give EU citizens an opportunity to ask questions relating to the application process, such as advising them on their status and the documents they will require to apply. We will also have some of Camden Council’s Registration team on hand, offering ID verification and help with instructions on how people can register themselves. The Council’s ID verification service is free for Camden residents only. They will need to bring proof of residence with them (e.g. utility bill, council tax, or bank statement), and should also bring their passports if they require assistance completing the registration on site.
Non-residents can refer to https://www.camden.gov.uk/eu-settlement-scheme for further information and appointments for the Council’s EU settlement scheme ID verification.
There is no need to book an appointment – people can just drop in.
Please share with your communities and signpost any EU citizens needing assistance with their application to these advice sessions.
They can also visit www.camden.gov.uk/brexit for support and advice.
Anyone wishing to attend who may require additional support (e.g. sign language interpretation) should please contact the EU Make Camden team by emailing email@example.com.
