Camden Psychotherapy Unit

Camden Psychotherapy Unit is a registered charity providing free and low fee psychoanalytic psychotherapy.

We were set up with the co-operation of Voluntary Action Camden (VAC), Camden Council for Voluntary Service and the London Borough of Camden. We soon became established as a specialist psychoanalytic psychotherapy service providing a highly valuable service to the NHS.

CPU offers psychoanalytic psychotherapy to anybody who is concerned about their emotional difficulties and is either seeking psychotherapy or looking for advice about which kind of psychological help would be best for them.

Services we offer include:

• consultations
• individual psychotherapy (once weekly psychotherapy for up to two years)
• short or long-term therapy
• group therapy.

Our services are available to people across London.

Referrals may also be made by GPs, social workers, local hospitals and voluntary organisations. 

People may refer themselves directly. 

Free therapy is offered to those unable to pay and fees are charged on a sliding scale to those who are able to pay.
