Healing Choir community arts project
Healing Choir is a community arts project that offers weekly Sunday gatherings at Kilburn’s Tin Tabernacle (see address on the right hand side).
The project is funded by One Kilburn Community Fund, and it aims to foster community, creativity, and well-being through communal vocalization, breath, and gentle movement.
It is free to join each session.
What to expect in Healing Choir:
• Join your voice with others in a powerful, shared expression of communal vocalisation
• Engage in gentle exercises that promote relaxation and well-being through breath and movement
• Create original, collaborative vocal music through improvisation, experimentation and self expression through unique sound repertoire
The project provides drop in sessions, but it is recommend to attend sessions continually.
The sessions are supported by staff from Paprika Collective, who have extensive experiences in providing creative health support and facilitation.
Sharon Gal, an interdisciplinary artist, performer, vocalist and composer, specialising in free improvisation and participatory, collaborative large group compositions, will lead on the sessions.
