Camden Advice NetworkCamden Advice Network is made up of a number of organisations in Camden that offer the following specialist advice:

Information and advice in easy readEasy read icon The Camden Wiki website provides information about where to go for financial and practical support with the Cost of Living crisis.

Cost of Living supportFinancial advice on Cost of Living support is available. This includes ensuring you are claiming benefits you are entitled to, managing debt and energy-saving tips.

If you are in urgent need, you can make an application for a Cost of Living payment. Anyone who meets all of the below criteria can apply:

  • be over 18, or over 16 if you live independently 
  • have lived in Camden for at least 6 weeks 
  • show that you're in urgent financial need by providing current bank statements
  • have not applied for the fund in the last 6 months.

For support with making an application, contact the Camden Advice Network, who will be able to assist you.

If you are pregnant or have children, get help to buy food and milk from the NHS Healthy Start scheme (for children under 4).

Christians Against Poverty (CAP) can provide advice if you are struggling with debt, and their services can be accessed by anyone regardless of their religious beliefs, including if you are not religious.

Carers UK

Carers UK offer advice aimed at carers, including on financial, practical, and health support. Their website provides information about Carer’s Allowance, support with paying bills and a benefits calculator.

Mental Health and Money Advice

Mental Health and Money Advice is an online only advice and information service that provides a lot of recently updated information. It is a service offered by UK-wide charity Mental Health UK.

Money Helper

Money Helper is a website which connects you to free guidance on areas such as benefits, pensions and retirement, dealing with debt and advice on scams.

Turn2Us

Turn2us is a national charity that provides financial support, including an overview of grants and eligibility information, information about their own grants programme, and a ‘jargon buster’ to make benefits information easier to understand.

Working Families

Working Families are a charity which support carers and parents in the workplace. Their website connects people to a range of information on topics such as childcare support, pregnancy and maternity and discrimination against parents and/or carers. They can also offer 1-2-1 advice to people.
