Extra care housing
Extra care housing in Camden provides a high quality care and support service for Camden adult residents who have been assessed as having needs which are eligible for social care funding, including those arising from varying degrees of physical frailty, learning disability, mental ill health and cognitive impairment, including dementia, or a combination of these.
Extra care support people to live independently in their own home, whilst maintaining their privacy within an accommodation-based setting. This type of housing is designed to support people to live an active, independent and fulfilling life.
Care staff are on hand with a flexibility of care available 24 hours a day which is able to be increased or decreased in response to individual needs.
If you have care needs you might be able to get help with the cost. You might also be able to get housing benefit and council tax exemption. The Access and Response team (contact details at the bottom of this page) can help you fill out a financial assessment to see if you are eligible.
