C4WS Homeless Project
C4WS Homeless Project provides a range of services for people sleeping on the streets:
- a mentoring and befriending scheme to support guests with life skills, tenancy support, employment support so that they reach a state of sustainable independent living in their private tenancy
- English classes to support guests who are from 28 different countries and reduce barriers to housing and wellbeing
- a jobs club that aims to get people job-ready and support those actively looking for work
- a hosting scheme, Home from Home, where volunteers with spare bedrooms provide a guest with a short term period of accommodation
- a Friday drop-in service that provides companionship, a hot and healthy lunch and professional welfare support to the homeless, vulnerable and in need
- a Sunday club that provides a safe and warm space for guests to relax, as well as offering laundry facilities, cooking sessions and access to TV/movies
- Wellbeing Tuesday which includes 30-minute drop-in therapy sessions for counselling and cognitive behavioural therapy
- monthly legal clinic
- a peer-led Women's group where there is an opportunity for members to stock up on toiletries, period products and clothing
